“Masters Of The Air”

The long-awaited “Masters Of The Air” miniseries is released on Apple TV! It depicts the Airmen of the Eighth Air Force and the 100th Bomb Group flying B-17’s at Thorpe Abbotts England during World War II.

Here is flying in a B-17 Flying Fortress as it lands at the airport in Palm Springs California. Turn your sound up and watch for the ground shadow!

NASA, Lockheed Martin Reveal X-59 Quiet Supersonic Aircraft

NASA and Lockheed Martin publicly unveil the X-59 quiet supersonic research aircraft at a ceremony in Lockheed Martin’s Skunk Works facility in Palmdale, California. The X-59 is the centerpiece of NASA’s Quesst mission, which seeks to solve one of the major barriers to supersonic flight over land, currently banned in the United States, by making sonic booms quieter. Tuba Auditions

Well this is something you would not think about. The USAF has a place for everyone to achieve their finest!

The United States Air Force Concert Band will be having a Tuba audition on March 15th! Materials are due by February 5th.

This position includes an annual starting salary of $73,056-$78,096 with a four-year minimum enlistment, full military benefits, 30 days of vacation, full medical and dental benefits, Post 9-11 GI Bill for college up to $80,000. Maximum age at the time of enlistment is 42. 

This position is highly sought after, often leading to service terms of 20 years or more. If you are a tuba player, please consider using your talents to serve our country!
