Today, August 28th in 2015 the Civil Air Patrol became a U.S. Air Force Total Force partner. This year also marks the 75th anniversary of CAP serving as an Air Force auxiliary.

With more than 540 single-engine piston airplanes, Civil Air Patrol operates one of the largest fleets in the world. Many aircraft are equipped with sensors or payloads for special missions, such as a tsunami warning public address system for use near the Pacific Ocean.
